Love this app! Im a first time writer and this has made it so easy to put all my thoughts together!!!! Also can you put an "undo" button!!!!!!! Lion O

This is now my preferred way to write for the web.

Great App! Elegant simplicity, my go to writer. I am very please with having made this choice. I am, however, NOT happy with the fact the the developer is allegedly tracking my device and other information without my consent!! I have enough of this kind of intrusive data collecting. I will be investigating and if this issue is not corrected by the developer real soon I will DELETE this app and use another that will respect my privacy! And, I rug other subscribers to do the same, if we do not take a stand, nothin will change. In this instance, it your privacy and the costumer is right.

A great app I use this all the time. Works well, could use a search feature. Managing folders and files took a little effort to figure out.

after several years of writing via iA Writer, i continue to value greatly its role in my writing and my correspondence. mostly on the airplane, i turn to Writer to edit and write more. whether using their keyboard or my bluetooth keyboard, i appreciate my writing experience in this medium. the focus feature is also helpful at times, and even helps me relax about what im writing b/c im not reading above or below (editing) while writing or reading the line that im on. i look forward to giving 5 stars again. iA Writer is one of my key go to writing apps. thank you so much and happy new year!

The page keeps "jumping" as I type. What was once my favorite writing app is now being deleted. Just found Hanx Writer!

There is a major bug in the new update of this app. When you work on a long document, the line bounces around, making it tough to work with. Ive tried to contact support on this, and they asked a few follow up questions, but theyve gone silent. Needless to say, I would never consider paying for the new version until this is addressed.

Uses iA for years, why should I pay for it again?

Developer wants to generate more revenue by retiring this as "classic" and forcing customers to buy the same app twice. Dont fall for this scam on honest customers. Look for a competitors app instead.

I upgraded as suggested. Annoyed to pay for it again. What are you guys doing, really? First the classic version starts jumping around at the last line. Why? I had to hit return a few times so there was space at the bottom to prevent this happening. Fine, its a small issue. but the new version... I thought simplicity was what you wanted? To focus on the writing, without the bells and whistles of all of the other writing programs? Thats what I wanted, thats what I bought. The upgrade is not that at all. Sure the nighttime features is nice. But the font is sooooo small. it doesnt take up the entire screen like before, there is all of this wasted space on each side of the text and you cant increase the size of the text to make it readable. Im so disappointed, and I want my money back. Or put it back to how you had it. Keep the bells and whistles, but make the writing the focus. Make the font large enough to see it. Dont change the font!! What you had was perfect, and a lot of us who liked the program liked it for that reason. Boy, you add a few bells and whistles to update and re-sell the program, and you destroy what made the program special. I will most likely delete the update, and simply forego any updates to the program that is working perfectly well except for the last line at the bottom of the page. A few additional spaces will help that. Id like to give you a higher review, but its easier for me to work in Word than your updated version. Too bad, really.

It keeps waiting on iCloud.

Really annoyed that people are annoyed to pay again. The developers are making a living. The economics of pay once update forever dont work - populations of new users arent infinite folks. Both old app and new app are great.

Decent developers update their current apps. These developers decided to fool their customers by making us pay for their app and then ask for more money to continue to support the upgrades by creating another app instead of making the ones we paid for better! Horrible people!!!
