Stressless transitions from Writer to pc

I use this to dictate my archaeology notes on my iPad as I read the text. It may get a bit creative with technical "translation" at times and will time out after a few sentences, but it is so easy to use. I love that it automatically corrects my typing errors, offers word suggestions to select with a simple tap, and automatically saves as I go. It is easy to paste from other documents and when Im done, I just email it to my PC where I save it. I especially like the format of the onscreen keyboard which provides the forward and backspace keys along with common punctuations (like and brackets) so you dont have to switch between keyboard formats. Excellent!

Instead of trying to force me to upgrade by labelling the old "classic" version as bad and the new one good, maybe you could try MAKING AN APP I ACTUALLY WANT TO UPGRADE TO. I will not be upgrading to the new version, its verbose and all the ridiculous mode switching kills the simplicity that made it so elegant to use. You had something great. And you didnt realize it. But dont take my word for it. You can just read the reviews of the new app.

So far no claim to this App. Smooth write, easy console, ready to stimulate me just looking at the icon on the top.

This is the only "writing" app I own but I see no reason at present to find another one. I also have the OS X version that I also like. I love using it on the iPad however, especially combined with my bluetooth keyboard. Only reason I dont give it 5 stars is the somewhat inconsistent syncing with iCloud (eventually everything syncs, but I would like it to be much quicker and seamless than it is).

but, I want choose to size of font. It is perfect if you can solve the point. maybe:)

This is a great writing program! The only downside is the offline saving support for dropbox. Too bad!

I do all my writing in writer. It easily transfers to my email, my journal, my notebook. I also love that I can dictate in English and Japanese. The forward and backward buttons make editing so much easier. I have one wish, though. Instead of taking so much space with special key marks, I wish I could move the cursor up and down also. But that really is not a huge issue. The app is very well done.

I have been using Writer for over a year now. Once in a while I try something else, but this is the one I always come back to when writing, the way I make my living, is priority No. 1. Why? I tap the "+" and a clean white screen appears. I start to type. The font is clean, clear, easy on my eyes, totally non-distracting. Formatting is not an issue. I can always choose copy and open in another program. That, by the way, turns out to be a good workflow. Going over the text in another program with more formatting options is a good way to proof and copy edit. No distractions. Just me and my words. Thats just Writer for me.

There are lots of good things about it, but the intelligently designed What-You-See-Is-What-You-Need keyboard, especially the right & left insertion point movement arrows, make this the best iPad writing tool out of the half dozen Ive used. I wish the iPhone version also allowed me to move forward and backward from wordtail to wordtail Mac-style. And I wish the WYSIWYN keyboard could be used when naming the file... and universally in the iPad and iPhone! Finding out where my file is located isnt easy, and file organization in Dropbox cant be edited: its infuriating to have to scroll down past dozens of folders to reach files, in rigid order. Finally my most serious complaint: I want it always to open where I was before, not on a new page.

I originally liked the software very much, but developed a fatal bug (at least on my ipad!): if I write text into a new document and exit or switch to another file without hitting the sync button, it erases everything you have typed. I noticed this after having worked on a document for one full hour. Everything I did during that time was lost.

Truely a great app for the ipad, played with it for maybe 30 mins and words were flowing, by the time I realized I had already written one whole page. Very functional keyboard and the focus mode is all you need if you are easily distracted. Magical.

I like it a lot! For its simplicity and cloud syncing. However I think the grey font on Mac version looks better than the black one on iPad and iPhone. Good for text clips to paste in regular mail answers too. Lacks of alphabetical sorting files in iCloud!

You need this!

Easy to write, easy to read. Perfect user experience. Theres everything to need comfortably on the iPad. Keybord was broadened by additional buttons, so you can write very fast and keep focus on what youre on than on lookimg for suitable signs. Im actually working on my book with it. Its a must have IMO.
